Website Review 10

Homestead
This website I have thought about using to support my personal website. However, there are many different options to choose from. I DO need a shopping cart to sell my photographs and only the eCommernce store option can help me wth that. I'm still comparing prices and options when it comes to eWeb stores.

Website Review 9

Wild Things Photography
I love this website. The photographs are spectacular. The artist's perspective and composition is amazing. He has a great eye for perfect photos. He also obvisously has money to travel or lives in Alaska. I didn't look at his contact information and if he has any. I am not sure since I was to focused in the pictures. I hope I can produce photos of this quality some day soon. I also like how the whole website is set up. It is very easy to use and read.

Adobe Design Proposal

Concept: "Behind Bars"
A series of 10 or less photos of animals behind bars (in cages at the zoo or wild animal park) that are manipulated with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I plan on making many different adjustments with the colors, levels, hues, and other options. The photos will clearly show some form of confinement; such as bars and fences. The animals will also have very emotional expressions on their faces. I will have to take more pictures since I try to shoot through the cages. I have included original thumbnails of a couple animals I might use.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Concept: "Babies" (Any Suggestions? I could use them.)
The same as "Behind Bars" except with baby animals. However, I do have more photos of baby animals then I have of animals "behind bars".
Website Review 8: Week 11 Reading
Deviant Art: Vector Images
This website has many different examples of vector graphics. I have included a couple of my favorites. The animal examples are exactly how I want to manipulate my wildlife photos. The images are stunning. I'm looking forward to learning how to create this type of artwork.
Website Review 7
Valley Musician's Repair
This website is too bogged down with too much text. The links all work correctly but the banner on the homepage is messed up. This site belongs to my boyfriend's personal business and needs a little work. The galleries are nice but could be more professional.
Website Review 6
Go 2 Africa
This website is easy to navigate around and most of the pages load very fast. The maps may take awhile to download. The text is simple, easy to read, and straightforward. It "cuts to the chase" by describing travel services, hotels, and tours quickly. There is no useless text to confuse the reader.
Website Review 5
This website has fast loading pages and is easy to navigate around. it is a very good website and has beautiful photos. it is also search engine friendly since I found it using the yahoo search engine. It is very entertaining, informative and well designed.
Images for Week 5
The photographer Edward Weston used linear rhythm as a design principle in many of his pictures. The lines are very dramatic and flow throughout the photographs. The contrast of texture and shape emphasizes the various subjects.
Edward Weston. Halved Cabbage. 1930.
Edward Weston. Toadstool. 1931.
Website Review 4
World Wildlife Photos
This website is very simple to navigate around. The site is used to sell photos taken by two photographers. I like the function of this website. I like how easy it is to find any photos you may like. However, it is very bland and boring. I think it would look better with a more colorful background. More pics or colors on the homepage couldn't hurt either.
Website Review 3
San Diego Zoo &
Wild Animal Park
This website is very well balanced and informative. It's rhythm is flowing and is very easy to navigate around. There are also varying degrees of dominance. New articles are more dominant than others. All elements are used to tie the website together. This a very good website.
Website Review 2
Nationalgeographic.com is a very informative and aesthetically pleasing website. There are many straightforward stories involving numerous subjects. Some categories are Animals, Environment, Space and Science. Magnificent photo galleries can also be viewed. The pictures are stunning and each one contains a caption describing the subject matter. I suggest checking out any of the galleries containing the word milestone in the title. This website literally has something for everybody. There is a section just for kids including stories and activities they may find interesting. It is also very easy to navigate around and to search for information on a specific subject. It is very entertaining.
Website Review 1
eBay
EBay.com is a fun way to buy and sell a multitude of miscellaneous merchandise by means of auctions on the internet. Belongings ranging from a two inch french fry to a full size sports car. Anything and everything can and may be found! Registration is free for individuals over the age of 18 and credit card information is asked for if the eBayer wishes to view the Mature Audience listings in the Everything Else category. This is done to verify age. Sellers may be asked to supply bank information since a small fee is required per listing. I’m not sure because I am only a buyer on eBay. :) After an account is set up bidding can begin. There are a couple different ways to search for a desired item. One way is the basic search engine; just type in its name and press search. Any title containing that word will appear from all categories. Searches can also be done by a specific category or country, payment method, the auction’s ending time, price, and other ways. Prices vary from item to item and the cost of shipping should be considered before bidding. One should also remember that just because you have bid on it doesn’t mean you will win. Some buyers like to wait until the auction is about to close and quickly bid higher. I have had this happen several times. :) Be sure to watch the goods you want closely. Once the auction is over both the buyer and seller are notified and a payment method is decided. Payment methods for auctions are a personal check, money order/cashier’s check, and paypal.com or any other way to transfer money electronically. The latter is mainly used by most sellers but it is simple and fast. If paying by personal check the seller usually will not ship the item until it has cleared. Once the payment is received the item is shipped to the buyer. UPS and FedEx are typically used since people worldwide can become a registered buyer, seller, or both. Feedback about the transaction is left by both parties to show other eBayers if the individual is a good or bad seller or buyer. EBay.com is very fun and easy to use with a little common sense and time.
